Bristol's Leading Youth Finance Educators

Teaching Young People the Language of Money

Most adults wish they'd learned about money earlier. We're changing that story for the next generation. Our workshops give children and teenagers in Bristol the confidence and skills to make smart financial decisions—before they have to learn the hard way.

Why Financial Education Matters Now

A recent study found that over 60% of young adults feel unprepared to handle their finances when they leave home. They struggle with budgeting, fall into debt traps, and miss opportunities to build wealth early. The problem isn't a lack of intelligence—it's a lack of education.

Schools touch on mathematics, but rarely teach the practical skills of managing a bank account, understanding interest, or resisting impulse purchases. This gap leaves young people vulnerable when they enter the real world.

Young learners engaging with hands-on financial exercises

That's where pulse-jump steps in. Since 2019, we've been working with families across Bristol to bridge this education gap. Our approach isn't about lecturing—it's about learning through doing, making mistakes in a safe environment, and building habits that last a lifetime.

"My daughter now thinks twice before spending her pocket money. She even started a savings goal chart on her wall. That never would have happened before."

We believe every young person deserves to understand how money works. Whether they're seven years old and learning to count coins, or seventeen and preparing for their first job, our programmes meet them where they are.

Programmes Designed for Every Age

Oliver came home after his first session and asked to see our electricity bill. He wanted to understand where our money goes each month. That curiosity is priceless.

Our Teaching Philosophy

EW

Dr. Elizabeth Warren

Founder & Lead Educator

"I spent fifteen years in banking before realising the problem wasn't that people made bad decisions—it was that nobody taught them how to make good ones. Children have an incredible capacity to learn about money when you make it relevant to their world. A six-year-old doesn't care about compound interest, but they absolutely care about saving enough pocket money for that toy they want."
